| Little did I know that I would be sitting here in a Sam Maloof inspired rocking chair. It was a gift and a total surprise. It seems that I am either talking about it, looking at it or rocking in it. What a beauty and the craftsmanship is excellent. The selection of the walnut and ash and how they are integrated into the design provide the perfect blend of colors and grain patterns. The use of the same piece of uniquely grained walnut to make the back and front for the back braces with ash laminated between is beautiful. The way they are bent and cut provide a perfect back support and a slight massaging effect.
